What rib configuration (number of ribs) should I choose?

Update Time:2026/6/3

Wide-angle belts can be configured as single strands or joined together into multi-rib (banded) configurations to exponentially scale up power capacity while preventing individual belt twist or turnover under high vibration:

Rib Configuration Operational Environment B2B Supply Advantage
1R - 2R (Single/Dual) Light-duty, restricted spaces, high precision, low structural shock. Sables utilizes advanced multi-head vulcanization molds to ensure that every rib in a banded configuration shares identical cord tension. This completely eliminates uneven load distribution across multi-groove pulleys.
3R (Standard Tri-Band) Standard industrial systems, balancing structural stability and pulley width.
4R - 32R (Heavy Multi-Band) Heavy-duty industrial drives with extreme impulse shock loads or continuous high torque.

Please Note: While more ribs provide exceptional power overhead, they require wider matching multi-groove pulleys. Ensure your pulley face width is fully aligned with your chosen configuration.
